Los Medanos College is excited to welcome Aliciana Ramirez as the new Head Women’s Softball Coach. A passionate educator, mentor, and former Division I athlete, Coach Ramirez brings a dynamic blend of experience in coaching, teaching, and youth development to the Mustang family.

A Bay Area native and four-year scholarship athlete at East Carolina University, Ramirez was a standout for the ECU softball program while earning her bachelor's degree in history and Ethnic Studies. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Recreation Administration at North Carolina Central University, where she also served as a graduate assistant coach, mentoring and guiding student-athletes on and off the field.

Coach Ramirez has worked extensively as a teacher and youth mentor for over 7 years, managing classrooms and creating inclusive learning environments. She also founded Camp Ali, a nonprofit dedicated to providing high-level softball instruction and leadership development for young women across the Bay Area—led by current and former collegiate players.

Her leadership style is rooted in discipline, empathy, and empowerment. She specializes in skill development, player motivation, and team-building, and her commitment to student success extends far beyond the scoreboard. Ramirez is currently completing her second master’s degree in Secondary Teaching through National University.

With a deep passion for softball and a proven track record of coaching and mentoring at all levels, Coach Ramirez is poised to build a culture of excellence, accountability, and opportunity at LMC.
