Bio

Marty Storti has served as the Athletic Director at Los Medanos College since October 2023, bringing nearly four decades of experience in collegiate athletics, recreation, and student engagement. Known for his leadership and ability to build programs from the ground up, Storti oversees all aspects of the college’s athletic operations, with a focus on student-athlete success, competitive excellence, and community connection. 

Prior to joining Los Medanos College, Storti spent 37 years at Saint Mary’s College of California, where he held a wide range of leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Assistant Vice President for Club Athletics and Revenue, providing strategic direction for a newly unified club sports and recreation model while leading initiatives in branding, fundraising, and revenue generation. His work emphasized innovative programming, facility utilization, and the development of sustainable financial models. 

For more than two decades, Storti served as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Administration at Saint Mary’s College of California, where he was a central figure in strategic planning, staff development, and day-to-day operations. He provided oversight for key areas including athletic camps, campus recreation, athletic human resources, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, facilities, and event management. Storti also taught in what is now known as the Kinesiology department for three years.  

In addition, he supervised multiple varsity programs, including men’s and women’s cross country, men’s golf, women’s rowing, men’s soccer, softball, and men’s and women’s track. As the lead administrator for the rugby program, Storti played a pivotal role in elevating its national profile, contributing to a run that included four national championships.  

Storti’s career began at Saint Mary’s College of California, where he was a three-sport student-athlete, competing in football for 4 years, baseball for 3, and rugby for 2. He quickly transitioned from player to coach, spending the next decade on the football sidelines and 14 years with the rugby program, including nine seasons as head coach. 

Storti holds a Master of Arts in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics, a Junior College Teaching Credential in Physical Education, and Single Subject Teaching Credentials in both Business and Physical Education. 

Storti resides in Concord, CA, with his wife, Diana. Their family includes his stepdaughter, Lindsey Bergmark, and her two children, Logan and Gunnar, as well as his children, Claire, Erich, and Mario.
